I hold a Doctorate degree from the University of Michigan in music composition. I also taught music composition and music theory at the University of Missouri.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMusic sessions\/lessons with Dr. Bret Bohman (Bels Lontano), Doctor of Musical Arts (University of Michigan) on a one-on-one bases. Lessons can be one hour per week or one hour every two weeks. Packages for one month (2-4 lessons) and packages for 3 months (6-12 lessons) are available  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBret Bohman is a composer of acoustic and electronic music.  He is a guitarist turned producer\/composer and he has a background in dance music production and jazz guitar improvisation. His concert works meet somewhere in the cross-section of these influences.  Themes of therapy, liminal spaces \u0026amp; Art as a vehicle for healing are all central ideas to his work.  Bohman was named the 2019 Distinguished Composer of the Year by the Music Teachers National Association.  His compositions have been heard throughout the US at various venues and festivals\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe has taught courses in electronic music composition and theory at the University of Michigan, where he received his doctorate, and the University of Missouri.
